3. Massage it over the face in gentle, circular motions, avoiding the eyes.
4. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a clean towel.
5. Follow with a light moisturiser, and sunscreen in the morning.

In the morning, finish with an oil-free sunscreen, because salicylic acid can make skin more sensitive to the sun. At night, keep the rest of the routine simple: a niacinamide serum such as the The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% pairs well. Avoid stacking it with several other strong exfoliants, and patch test first if your skin is sensitive. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor before using salicylic acid.
