What Is PDRN?

PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a DNA-derived active ingredient extracted from salmon sperm — an unusual origin that delivers genuinely unusual results. PDRN activates the A2A adenosine receptor in skin cells, triggering a repair and regeneration cascade that accelerates the skin's own healing processes: collagen production increases, damaged DNA in skin cells is repaired, and new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis) improves tissue oxygenation.

In clinical medicine, PDRN has been used for decades to accelerate wound healing and tissue repair after surgery. Its application in skincare is newer — but the mechanism is the same. Skin that has been damaged by chronic UV exposure (Kuwait's primary skin stressor) shows the same kind of cellular damage that PDRN was designed to repair.
